The Trademark Protection Act defines clear criteria for this: from the origin of the ingredients and processing to the legally protected term “Swissness”.

How Swissness is calculated
Whether a product may bear the designation "Swiss origin" depends on the origin of the ingredients, the place of processing and the so-called Swiss value content. Special rules apply to agricultural products. The legal basis for this is the Trademark Protection Act. What does “Swissness” mean for food?
Swissness refers to legally protected indications of origin for products from Switzerland. For foodstuffs, this means that the majority of the raw materials come from Switzerland and the main processing steps also take place here.
Who sets the Swissness criteria?
The criteria are regulated in the Swiss Trademark Protection Act (MSchG). They define exactly when a product may be considered a “Swiss product” – including provisions on the Swiss value content and processing.

What do the name LuxAgro and the sunflower in the logo mean?
The name LuxAgro is made up of two Latin words:
Together, this means “field of light” – the sunlight that allows life to grow in the field.
